These Purchase Terms apply to every purchase you make on MINERVA.

What you buy

When you buy a course, you buy access to that course under the offer you choose. Before you confirm your payment, the course page and the checkout show what the offer includes, such as the content and format of the course, the access period, any live sessions with their dates and time zone, the assessments and the type of certificate you can earn.

The description shown on the course page and at checkout when you buy forms part of your contract with us. We keep a record of the version of these Purchase Terms that you accepted and of the date of your purchase.

To buy a course, you need a MINERVA account with a verified email address. A purchase gives you a licence to use the course under our Terms and Conditions; it does not transfer to you the ownership of any content.

Prices and taxes

• Before you confirm your payment, the checkout shows the total price that we will charge you. Your bank or card issuer may add taxes or charges of its own to that amount, for example, in Argentina, value added tax on digital services and tax perceptions; where we know that this applies, the checkout tells you.
• Prices may differ by country. The price offered to you depends on the country we identify from your internet connection when you view the course, and we check it again at checkout. If that country changes, or if the price shown expires before you pay, we will show you the updated price and you will need to confirm it.
• You must not hide or misrepresent your location, for example by using a VPN or a proxy, to obtain a price intended for another country.
• Prices are shown in your local currency when it is available and otherwise in US dollars. If your bank or card issuer converts the charge into another currency, it may apply its own exchange rate and fees, which we do not control.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment service provider. The payment methods available depend on your country and are shown at checkout. When you pay, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.

We do not receive or store your full card details: Stripe handles them under its own terms and privacy policy. Your purchase is confirmed only when Stripe confirms the payment.

Access

• We enable your access to the course as soon as the payment is confirmed. If the confirmation is delayed, we will let you know by email when the payment is confirmed or declined.
• Once the payment is confirmed, we send you an email confirming your purchase.
• The access period depends on the offer you bought, for example a number of days or months, or until a date or an exam session stated in the offer, and it is shown on the course page and at checkout. When it ends, your access to the course content ends; certificates already issued to you are not affected.
• To use the courses, you need a compatible device, an up-to-date browser and an internet connection, which are your responsibility.

No refunds

All purchases are final. Because you receive immediate access to digital content, we do not offer refunds, exchanges or credits, including for change of mind or partial use.

The only exceptions are:

• a duplicate charge or a billing error;
• a course that we cancel before your access to it has been enabled;
• a withdrawal from a purchase made from Argentina or Brazil, under the conditions described in the next section; and
• any case in which the mandatory law that applies to you grants you a right to a refund.

If one of these exceptions applies, we will refund the amount concerned to the original payment method. Our Refund Policy explains how to request it.

Right of withdrawal in Argentina and Brazil

If the country used to set the price of your purchase, or your billing country, is Argentina or Brazil, you may withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason:

• Argentina: within 10 calendar days of your purchase. If the last day is not a business day, the period extends to the next business day.
• Brazil: within 7 calendar days of your purchase.

To withdraw, use the Withdrawal button at the bottom of every page of our website. You do not need to sign in. We show you a request code immediately and send it to you by email, together with a link to confirm the request, so that we can check that it comes from the buyer.

The right of withdrawal ends once you use the course: that is, once you download any of its materials, play any of its lessons other than the free sample lesson, or start any of its activities or assessments. Under Argentine law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to files that can be downloaded for permanent use or to video recordings that the consumer has played (article 1116(b) of the Civil and Commercial Code). The checkout reminds you of this before you pay.

If you withdraw within the period and have not used the course, we end your access to it and refund the full amount to the original payment method. If the period has ended or you have used the course, we tell you so by email; if you believe that we are wrong, reply to that email and a member of our team will review your case.

Immediate access in other countries

For purchases not covered by the previous section, when you buy, you expressly request immediate access to the course and acknowledge that, once access begins, you lose any statutory right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to digital content (for example, in the European Union or the United Kingdom).

You give this request and acknowledgement by ticking the corresponding box at checkout. We keep a record of it with your purchase and confirm it in the email confirming your purchase. For purchases made from Argentina or Brazil, the box at checkout instead confirms that you want immediate access and that you understand when the right of withdrawal ends.

Chargebacks

If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first at info@minervabusiness.com so that we can resolve it quickly. If you dispute a valid charge with your bank or card issuer without a justified reason, we may suspend your access to the course concerned while the dispute is open and provide the payment provider with evidence of your purchase, of your acceptance of these Purchase Terms and of your use of the course. If the chargeback is improper, we may also revoke any certificate linked to that purchase, as described in our Certificate Policy. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the law or under the rules of your payment method.

Changes to courses

We review our courses regularly and may update, correct, reorganise or replace lessons, materials and assessments, for example to improve them or to reflect changes in the rules they cover. These changes will not substantially reduce the overall content or features described when you bought the course.

If we decide to discontinue a course before your access period ends, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance, and during that time you will be able to download the downloadable materials available in the course.

If we need to reschedule or cancel a live session, we will notify you by email.

Promotions

From time to time we may offer promotional prices or discount codes. Each promotion is subject to the conditions stated when it is offered, such as its validity period and the courses to which it applies. Unless those conditions state otherwise, discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be combined with other promotions and cannot be applied to purchases already made. If the price of a course goes down after you buy it, you are not entitled to the difference.

Receipts

Once the payment is confirmed, you can download a receipt for your purchase from the Purchases section of your account. Each receipt identifies the seller, the order number, the course, the date and the amount paid.

Terms and Conditions

Our Terms and Conditions also apply to your purchase and to your use of the course, including their provisions on governing law and disputes, limitation of liability and language. If there is a conflict between these Purchase Terms and the Terms and Conditions on a matter relating to a purchase, these Purchase Terms prevail. Each purchase is governed by the version of these Purchase Terms that you accepted when you made it.
